Samsung is planning to release smartphones with flexible displays in 2012, followed by tablets and other devices.

“The flexible display, we are looking to introduce sometime in 2012, hopefully the earlier part,” said company spokesman Robert Yi during an earnings call earlier today. “The application probably will start from the handset side.”
Samsung will be equipping smartphones with a flexible OLED display in a rigid body, so you will have curved screen, but don’t expect that you will be able to fold your phone and put it in the pocket. 😛
