When Asus Chairman Jonney Shih took the stage this morning at AsiaD conference, he had a lot of goodies for Android lovers to share. He did an informal unveiling of Asus’s next generation of Eee Pad Transformer tablet and it will be called Transformer Prime not Transformer 2.
He mentioned that the official announcement will be happening on November 9 and more details will be shared at that time. Shih did give away some of the features of this second-gen tablet, Transformer Prime features a 10 inch display, same as first-gen, it will most probably run on ICS, and come with nVIDIA Tegra 3 processor.
Other specifications include USB, mini-HDMI ports, 8.3mm thickness and the keyboard dock as expected.
Talking about the Ice Cream Sandwich’s arrival on Android tablets, he revealed that it will be coming before this year’s end, which means we might see ICS on the first-gen as well as second-gen Transformer.
