It seems that the wait for Ice Cream Sandwich update is not going to be long at least for some of the devices. Google Mobile SVP Andy Rubin today stated that the first updates will start rolling out within weeks of the Galaxy Nexus release.

He however did not give the OEM names, which will be first to send out the update, but being a Nexus device, we would expect to see Nexus S first to get the update. Rubin also revealed that Ice Cream Sandwich source code will also be released within couple of weeks of the Galaxy Nexus availability.
