But it is facing issues right now
Samsung has released its alternate messaging app ChatOn is Android Market today. On the lines of BlackBerry’s BBM service, ChatOn helps you in saving some texting costs, and it goes beyond that.
It lets you connect your friends and family across platforms. Along with Android, company has also launched bada, and feature phone versions, while iOS, and Blackberry apps are on their way.
You will be able to do 1:1 Chats, group chat, broadcasts, animation messages, share pictures, videos, audio, location info, contacts, and calendar info on ChatOn.
But, since the launch in the Market, ChatOn seems to be giving problems in registration, getting verification codes to start using service and even their servers seems to be ultra-slow. Looks like Samsung did not anticipate the traffic and failed on the Android launch day itself. We hope to see them sort out the mess soon.

Update: Everything seems to be settled right now. Users are getting verification codes easily. You can try now.

got it couple of hours ago, however not been able to register since thn. Been getting verifcation failed, try after 5 mins error msg..
I installed and got the verification code pretty quick. What irks me is the size of the app though – at 8.3 MB it is too large for a messenger.
Available but not working
