Smartphone buyers in United States are increasingly choosing Android smartphones are their next phones. According to a survey by Nielson, more than half (56%) of the consumers who got a new smartphone in the past three months picked an Android device.

The all-time Android buyers’ percentage stands at 46% of the total smartphone sales, which is not bad either.

On the other hand, iOS buyers are stagnant at 28% and rest are just going down.  However Nielson is quick to point out that as soon as the new iPhone is released the number of consumers buying it will increase considerably.
