Telecom and Motorola have partnered to launch rugged Android smartphone Defy in New Zealand. The smartphone will be available in Telecom stores starting today for $799.

Dust, water and scratch proof Defy features a 3.7 inch display, Android 2.2 with MotoBlur and 5MP camera. With FroYo already present in Telecom version of Defy, we are pretty soon that Motorola will start pushing the update for other regions soon.
