Olive Telecom might launch the second generation OlivePad by the end of this month in India, reported TMI. The new version, which is expected to be called OlivePad 2 will feature a 10.1 inch display and Android 3.0 aka Honeycomb.
While other specifications remain unclear, we are putting our money on 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM and 3/5 MP rear cam with a 1.3 MP front cam.
To remind you, Olive Telecom was the first company to launch a tablet in India in July, but it was delayed and reached in stores late October. On the same lines, Olive announced Olive Smart with much fanfare last month but it has still not reached the market. So, we can expect a similar fate of OlivePad 2.
Coming back to the tablet, it will most probably be manufactured by Chinese OEM ZTE as Huawei did not showcase any Honeycomb powered tablet at MWC. ZTE V11, which was displayed at MWC features 10″ TFT-LCD 1,280 x 800, 512 MB RAM, 8 GB/16 GB internal storage, 1.3 Megapixel front facing, 5 Megapixel rear facing, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, LTE FDD/HSPA/WCDMA network, 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB, dedicated Dock Connector, and G-sensor.
