As reported by us earlier this month, it has been confirmed by a listing on Flipkart that Sony Ericsson will indeed launch Xperia Play in India next month. The smartphone is now available on Flipkart for pre-order for a price of INR 32,000, 2K less than what we earlier anticipated.
Sony Ericsson India is soon expected to officially announce Xperia Play along with Xperia Arc in the country; we are expecting a launch event around the first week of April with availability scheduled in the second week.
Xperia Play is the first Playstation certified Android smartphone, and it features Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), 5 MP Camera, Touch Sensitive Gaming Controls, PSP Like Gaming Buttons and 4 inch display.
