Yes, you heard that right, T-Mobile is supposedly planning to add LG Optimus 2X to the G series of Android devices. The existing devices in G series are G1, G2, and G-Slate.

While Optimus 2X looks a right contender to be a part of the series, we can expect some changes in the device including the UI. LG might shed its own UI to accommodate Android original UI to make it a part of G series. Same as the HTC did with G2, while the international version Desire Z has HTC Sense as the UI.

To remind you about Optimus 2X, it is the world’s first dual core powered Android smartphone, but it will be the US’s first, as Motorola Atrix has already been launched on AT&T.

Other features of LG Optimus 2X include Android 2.2, 4 inch display, 8 GB internal memory, 512 MB RAM, 8 MP camera, and 1080p playback and recording.
