Mobile game network Zynga has launched Words with Friends, the popular iOS Scrabble-inspired word game on Android devices. This game is now available to download from Android Market.
Interestingly, you can play this game across platforms, that is, an Android player could challenge an iPhone player to a game, and vice versa.
As of now, the only version of the game available to download is free, but ad-supported. An ad-free premium version was announced earlier this month, but has no official release date at this time.
Zynga has ventured into Android gaming previously as well (Remember Zynga Poker which was introduced last December).
