Smart recently launched world’s first smartphone with widgets from the Wholesale Application Community (WAC) in Philippines. Dubbed as NetPhone, it is infact a rebranded ZTE Blade, but it comes pre-loaded with Android 2.2 and WAC Widgets.

Additionally, Netphone also comes with its own branded software and applications relevant to Philippines customers.

Coming back to WAC, it grabbed attention during its launch a year ago as it promise to let developers write an app once and have it run on any carrier, device or operating system. Well, we will have to see how it fares on NetPhone.
