Google has already started pushing out the first software update for Nexus One. Dubbed as GRH78, it brings several important bug-fixes and maps update.

You can wait for update notification on your phone or simply update it manually. Instructions Below.

  1. Download the update from Google Servers
  2. Rename the file to Update.Zip
  3. Place the in the root of your SD Card
  4. Switch Off your Nexus S
  5. Reboot into the bootloader by holding volume up and power on
  6. Select Recovery [Use the volume buttons to choose “recovery” from the list, and select it with the power button]
  7. When you see the triangle on your screen, press volume up and power once more and you’ll have a list of options, choose to update
