While, HTC Wildfire across the Europe will start getting Android 2.2 sometime this week, HTC Russia has already started rolling out the update.
The Official HTC Russia account just tweeted about the update, and it will be available Over The Air, so expect a update notification on your Wildfire soon. Use Wi-Fi network to download the update else you might incur significant data charges.
