Shazam and TCT Mobile today announced that Shazam Android application will now come pre-installed on every Alcatel Android smartphone.
Initially, this will only rolled-out in the UK, France, Italy, Guatemala, Mexico and New Zealand, with other countries following shortly.
Shazam Android App users have the option to place a Shazam widget on their ALCATEL mobile device’s home screen to immediately begin tagging a song without having to first open the Shazam App. When the ‘Tag Now’ widget icon is touched, the App starts listening, ready to tag a song and provide information about the artist and track.
Shazam can do:
- Discover popular artists in specific regions with local chart information.
- Read track and album reviews, view song lyrics, artist biographies and discographies.
- Find local and international tour dates for tagged artists and buy tickets to the concert.
- View YouTube videos for tagged artists from within the App.
- Access the Shazam Blog – updated daily to bring the latest music news, reviews and events from groundbreaking artists to mainstream acts.
- Share music discoveries by Tweeting a Tag, posting track details to FaceBook, or sending a text or email to friends.
