Vodafone today started selling the rugged Android smartphone Motorola Defy for free on pay monthly plans from £25. The Defy’s touchscreen is scratch-resistant, and smartphone comes with a hard plastic outer casing that resists grime and water.

Other specifications include 3.7 inch touch-screen, a 5 mega-pixel camera with flash, 2GB of onboard memory and supports Adobe Flash Lite. It also has an FM radio, built-in GPS and runs on the Android 2.1.
