Samsung continues gaining smartphone market share with the help of its flagship Android smartphone Galaxy S. While, Samsung sold a total of 7 million Galaxy S units around the globe, three million came from four versions launched with the big four in United States.

Two more regional operators have also launched their own Galaxy S versions, which I suppose are not accounted in these sales numbers as they were launched very late. Galaxy S was first announced in July in US.

But, it isn’t all, as Verizon yesterday launched another Galaxy S smartphone Samsung Continuum, which is expected to take sales to a new high.
