Hisense launches Nexus 7 competitors in US with Walmart
Since the launch of Nexus 7 last year, we have seen quite a few tablet makers coming with devices that try to match the price-point and features of Google’s Nexus 7. However, none of them have been able to do that perfectly, in fact there is no other tablet that I can recommend to tablet buyers at $199 in the United States – but that can probably change now.
Chinese electronics maker Hisense has announced two tablets in its Sero line-up with Walmart in the US. Dubbed as Sero 7 LT and Sero 7 Pro, these tablets have got super affordable price tags and Sero 7 Pro can be a replacement for Nexus 7 if you want to save $50.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z 3G priced at INR 44,990, now on pre-order
We finally know the pricing of Sony’s Xperia Tablet Z in India. The tablet, which started rolling out globally this week, has been priced at INR 44.990. As per pre-order listings on Flipkart and Infibeam.com, it will be available in the first week of June in the country.
The Xperia Tablet Z version on sale in the country comes with 16GB of internal storage and 3G connectivity. Other features of the tablet include 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM.

Amazon Kindle Fire HD tablets go global, now on pre-order in 177 countries
After taking the Appstore for Android global, Amazon has now announced that its Kindle Fire HD tablets are now available globally. Both 7-inch and 8.9-inch tablet can now be pre-ordered from Amazon.com. The shipping will start on June 13, claimed Amazon.
According to a press-release issued by the company, the tablets are available to consumers in over 170 countries. Customers planning to grab Kindle Fire HD and Fire HD 8.9 tablets will have to visit this link and select their country from the drop-down to check whether they can get the tablet or not. We are looking for the full list of eligible countries and will update the post as soon as we find it.

Asus launches Transformer AiO with detachable Android tablet, starting INR 86,999
As we reported earlier, Asus India today announced the launch of Transformer AiO in the Indian market. This Windows 8-based All-in-One hybrid PC comes with a detachable display, which can be turned into a Jelly Bean tablet.
The PC part of the device features 18.4-inch Full HD display, 3rd-gen Intel Core processor (i3 or i5), 4GB of RAM, up to 1TB of hard disk space, and NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M GPU. On the other hand, the tablet part features NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and Android 4.1.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 UK launch in July for £459.99
UK retailer Clove has revealed that Samsung’s massive Galaxy Mega 6.3 smartphone is coming to UK in July. The smartphone will be sold at £383.33 excluding VAT or £459.99 ($697) including VAT, noted the retailer.
Originally announced back in April, Samsung’s Galaxy Mega series includes two phones – Mega 5.8 and Mega 6.3, there is still no word on Mega 5.8 release.

iBall launches Slide Q9703 tablet with 2048x1536p display for INR 15,999
iBall has announced the launch of a high-res Android tablet in the Indian market. Dubbed as Slide Q9703, the tablet has been priced at INR 15,999 and will be available in the coming days.
The USP of the tablet is its 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536p resolution IPS display, which is similar to Zync Quad 9.7 tablet. Other features of Slide Q9703 include Android 4.1, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, and 2GB of RAM.

Sony to begin selling Xperia Tablet Z globally
Japanese manufacturer Sony announced today that it has started the roll-out of Xperia Tablet Z globally. The tablet, which was originally showcased in Japan in January 2013, is a successor to the company’s previous released Xperia Tablet S. The company has not revealed the local pricing right now, but the tablet will be sold starting $499 in the United States.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z will be released in 4G/ 3G and Wi-Fi only versions and should be available widely in the intended markets over this week.

Samsung to use Intel Atom processor in new 10-inch tablet
Intel seems to have finally got hold of the bigger fish – Samsung. As per the latest benchmark results that have surfaced in GFXbench database, Samsung is using the Intel Atom Z2560 Clover Trail+ dual-core processor in its new 10-inch tablet.
Carrying the model number GT-P5200, the tablet has been code-named Santos, the same codename that we had heard in the past associated with Samsung’s rumoured 10-inch tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 revealed, images & specs leak
Samsung’s rumoured Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 has been leaked in detail. The tablet will be joining the company’s recently announced Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch in Samsung’s 2013 tablet portfolio.
According to a report in SamMobile, Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is going to be available next month. As per the leaked specifications, the tablet will come with Android 4.2.2, 8-inch 1280x800p resolution display and 1.5GHz dual-core processor.
