As promised Asus has released the much-awaited bootloader unlock tool for Transformer Prime tablet. Available for download now at Asus support site, it unlocks the bootloader of Transformer Prime TF201 running on Ice Cream Sandwich. So, if you are still on Honeycomb, you will need to update to ICS to get the benefit of this tool.

Huawei is expected to unveil its ten inch avatar of MediaPad tablet at the Mobile World Congress and the first images of the tablet are already out in the wild. According to the accompanying information, MediaPad 10 features Android 4.0, 8MP rear camera, front camera, microSD card slot and 3G support. It is also said to be light-weight.

As anticipated, Barnes & Noble has announced the 8GB version of Nook Tablet today. Targeted to compete directly with Amazon Kindle Fire, Nook Tablet 8GB has been priced at $199, the same price at which Fire is currently retailing. The 16GB version of Nook Tablet will continue to see for $249. On the other hand, Nook Color’s price has been reduced to just $169 now.

Remember, we reported about a new Asus tablet TF300T two weeks ago, now we have more details about it. According to the Polish blog TabletOWO, which got hold of the official comparison sheet of Transformer series tablets, TF300T will come with Android 4.0 and Tegra 3 quad core processor.

Samsung’s official blog has revealed the upcoming 10 inch tablet avatar of Galaxy Note in a developer day invitation, which will be happening at Mobile World Congress. This dev-day will focus on S-Pen SDK and Bada OS, thus removing the possibility of the name being a typo for Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 as it does not support S-Pen.
