Amazon brings Kindle Fire HD 8.9 to more countries, reduces price in US
Amazon has announced that it is releasing its Kindle Fire HD 8.9 tablet in more countries across the globe. The tablet will now be sold in UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Japan. The company also revealed that it is reducing the price of the tablet in the United States. Amazon Kindle Fire HD will now be sold starting $269 in the country.
“As we expand Kindle Fire HD 8.9” to Europe and Japan, we’ve been able to increase our production volumes and decrease our costs. Across our business at Amazon, whenever we are able to create cost efficiencies like this, we want to pass the savings along to our customers,” said Dave Limp, Vice President, Amazon Kindle.

Nexus 4 stock expected to reach UK, France, Spain & Australia Google Play stores today
Yesterday was a surprisingly great day for Nexus 4 lovers as the new stocks of this elusive smartphone arrived in Google Play for US, Canada and Germany. Well, Google is not planning to leave other countries in Dark (where Nexus 4 is sold via Google Play).
According to a report on Android Police, they have heard from a credible source that Google Play Stores in UK, France, Spain and Australia will be getting new Nexus 4 stock today (tomorrow in the case of Australia).
It is likely that we will also see the bumper in stock, as the same happened in US Google Play, but we would not bet on that.

Samsung Galaxy S II Jelly Bean update roll-out begins with Spain
Samsung has started the Android 4.1 update roll-out for Galaxy S II smartphone earlier today with Spain. The unlocked S II users in the country can now grab the update over-the-air or via Kies app on Windows or OS X.
Galaxy S II, which is one of the most popular Android smartphones till date, was originally released in May 2011 with Gingerbread on-board and since has received the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. The Jelly Bean update is expected to bring the much needed UI revamp, new features like Direct Call, Smart Stay and Pop up Play as well as Google Now to the smartphone.

As promised, Google started selling the LG Nexus 4 and Samsung Galaxy 10 devices from its Google Play store yesterday in select countries including US, UK, Canada, Australia and Germany. The devices, especially Nexus 4, were greeted by great response and was sold out in all the countries within minutes of going on sale.

Panasonic has revealed its first Android smartphone for European market – ‘Eluga’ yesterday at a company event. It will go on sale starting April in Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. Being manufactured at a company facility in Malaysia, Eluga was first show-cased as a prototype last year in December.
Android Market Direct Billing reaches Spain, Italy
Android users in Spain and Italy with Vodafone connections are now able to use the direct carrier billing option in Android Market, taking the number of supported countries to seven. Android Market direct billing makes it easier for users to purchase apps by adding the purchase amount to their monthly bill rather than paying instantly by a credit card.
An updated Android Market app is already rolling out to the users.

If a series of rumors and leaked images are to be believed, Google is giving out starter packs with self-branded SIMs along with Nexus S to its employees mostly engineers in Spain. Each of these SIMs is said to be affiliated to different telecom operators in the country and engineers have been told to test out infrastructure and efficiency of these telcos.

It has been quite a journey from ChaCha to ChaChaCha. After being sued by the Q&A service provider ChaCha for trademark infringement and later by almost wounding the Spanish sentiment by means of using the word ChaCha (which is more of a Spanish Slang), HTC has re-christened its baby from ChaCha to ChaChaCha.
Vodafone Spain to sell Galaxy Tab for €199
Vodafone Spain has announced that it would be selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab for €199 on a 18 month contract, reported Samsung Hub.
Vodafone user can now pre-register this Android tablet on their website. Vodafone has not announced a fixed availability date, but it is expected to hit in coming weeks.
