After Nikesh Arora, now Dennis Woodside’s name is popping up in the list of potential candidates to replace Sanjay Jha as Motorola Mobility CEO once the merger with Google is complete. According to report in Bloomberg late last night, Google is close to naming Dennis Woodside to run Motorola when the deal closes.

After company’s Australia office confirmed ICS for Iconia Tab A500, Acer America has now officially announced Android 4.0 update plans for all of its tablets. According to a press release issued today, Acer is already rolling out Ice Cream Sandwich update for A200 tablets and it will be completed over the next week.

Sony has revealed that it has completed the transaction to acquire Ericsson’s 50 pc stake in Sony Ericsson yesterday. The deal was first announced last year on October 27 and now Sony Ericsson is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony.

MediaTek has announced the launch of the new MT6576 platform for Android smartphones. According to the company, it is ideal for entry and mid-range Android smartphones. MT6575 comes with a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, and supports the latest Android version “Ice-Cream Sandwich”.
