Galaxy Nexus coming to Canada a day early on Dec 7

Living in or visiting Toronto on December 7, than you might to lucky to grab one of the shiny new Galaxy Nexus units a day early than rest of the Canada. Telecom operators Bell and Virgin Mobile have announced that they will start selling the first Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone at Yonge and Dundas in Toronto starting 1PM, December 7.

North American countries US and Canada will be finally getting the first ICS phone Galaxy Nexus next month. According to a report in Business Insider, Samsung has confirmed to the publication that Galaxy Nexus will make its US debut next month, but was silent on the exact release date or the pricing.

Acer has announced the release of its 4G tablet Iconia Tab A501 in Canada today. Iconia Tab comes with the 4G network support of telecom operator Rogers Communications.  Powered by Honeycomb and nVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor, it was earlier launched in the United States on AT&T.

LG Optimus LTE surfaces in Canada as LG Eye

Motorola RAZR UK, Australia and Canada launch details emerge

Regional telecom operators have released the availability details in UK, Australia and Canada. Starting first with Australia, Optus will be exclusively carrying the RAZR in the country. Motorola just sent out invitations for a Sydney press event scheduled for October 27.  Octus logo is clearly visible in the invite also with the original RAZR Invitation line “Join us to celebrate the next big innovation from Motorola Mobility.” We expect to hear more on the actual availability at this event.

Android Market movies now available in Canada

After United States, now Canadian users can rent movies from Android Market directly. The service, which was announced earlier in the year, allows Android users to rent movies from the Market app and then watch it on any Android device running 2.2 or above.
