Gionee Marathon M3Gionee has introduced a new Android smartphone in the Indian market. Part of the company’s M-series, Gionee Marathon M3 is the successor to the company’s previously launched Marathon M2 smartphone.

Currently listed on the company’s India website, the M3 features a 5-inch 1280x720p HD display, Android 4.4 and 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The phone also packs 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front shooter, USB OTG support, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.

In addition, Gionee has included a mammoth 5000 mAh battery in the phone along with dual-SIM support and FM Radio. As you can see, the main selling phone of the phone is the battery, rest of the specifications are quite common these days.

Pricing and availability

Although Gionee does not officially note the pricing of the phone on its website, the phone has appeared on eBay India with a price-tag of INR 13,499. We are still waiting for an official confirmation about the phone as well as a word on expanded availability and will let you guys know as soon as we hear something.

Update: Gioneee has now officially announced that M3 will retail for INR 12,999 in India.

  2. If Gionee Marathon M3 can have a 5000 mAh battery
    why does not Samsung and HTC, etc also have it ?
