  1. Once Asus launches their Zenfones, I think the market will well and truly be shaken up for good. The ridiculous margins that manufacturers today seem to enjoy will hopefully be a thing of the past sooner than later.

For the uninitiated, – the Zenfone 4 is slated to be priced at $99 (Rs. 6K+taxes) and has a 1.2Ghz Dual Core CloverTrail+ Z2520 processor with 1GB RAM, 4GB storage+expansion slot, 5MP rear cam, 0.3MP webcam, all wrapped up around a 4 inch WVGA screen.

Zenfone 5 and 6 will have 5 and 6 inch screens respectively and a 2Ghz dual core Z2580 each with 1GB and 2GB RAM respectively along with 8MP and 13MP cams and would cost only $149 (Rs. 9K) and $199 (Rs. 12K) plus taxes respectively. 🙂
