Just a day after we told you about the impending unveiling of Galaxy Grand 2, the smartphone has been officially announced by Samsung today. The company has not revealed any availability or pricing details but it has noted that Galaxy Grand 2 will be released in select regions in White, Black and Pink colour options.
As leaked earlier, Grad 2 features a 5.25-inch 720p HD display, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. The phone is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor of unknown make. It also comes with Android 4.3, 8MP rear camera, 1.9MP front camera and 2600 mAh battery.
According to Samsung, Galaxy Grand 2 also packs dual-SIM support. Along with these hardware features, Samsung has included software customizations like Story Album, S Translator, S Travel, Sound & Shot and Samsung Hub on the smartphone.
“Galaxy Grand 2 is a device that offers an optimal large-screen experience on a portable, compact smartphone. This evolution of the Galaxy Grand series brings meaningful upgrades to its predecessor including an improved HD viewing experience, enhanced performance, and many other intuitive features,” Samsung noted in a press release.
