We know that LG is working on the Android 2.3 update for Optimus One, but it seems company might keep its promise of releasing the update this month. A video showcasing LG Optimus One with Android 2.3.3 on-board was uploaded by LG on Youtube.
Optimus One’s performance seems to have gone better after the update and even benchmarks are confirming that. I am sure all the Optimus One users are eagerly waiting for the update, and we will keep you informed.

I am going to buy this set in a day or two. But, since it may get the Gingerbread update, so shall I wait for it to come Pre-installed or will it be available later to download directly on the phone ??

Its planned for July, so you may need to wait quite a bit ….

I don’t think before LG optimus 2x they will release ginger bread for optimus one.
I just talked to some LG person in Northern India..
As per him, there is no plan to upgrade to Android 2.3 for LG Optimus One P500.
As per plans as of date, only Optimus 2x will have 2.3
