Intex, a brand known for its computer hardware and accessories, had jumped in the mobile phone market in India sometime back. Now, the company is planning to launch its first and India’s cheapest Android smartphone, leaving behind Micromax Andro A60.

Intex Mobile will be launching a Rs 5500 or $122 Android phone in February first week next year. The smartphone will come with Android 2.2 on-board, 3.2 mega pixel camera, 2.8 inch resistive full-touch screen [disappointment], WiFi and GPS.
