Opera’s webkit based Android browser out of beta, updated in Google Play
Opera has revealed that its Webkit based Android browser is no longer in beta and the stable version has been released in Google Play. The beta version was launched in March as the company switched from its previously used Presto browser engine.
The stable version also brings some new features like ability to toggle nav bar from top to bottom. Check out the full change-log below.

HTC One India availability report
Being one of the most anticipated launches of the year, everyone is just waiting for HTC One’s India availability. After the delay of almost one month, HTC One is finally reaching the Indian market.
According to the reports from brick and mortar stores, the first stocks of the smartphone will start reaching later today or tomorrow in the metros, while other cities and towns should get the phone beginning next week.
If you are planning to buy HTC One from your neighbourhood retailer, contact them now, the initial stocks are expected to be limited, but more stocks are expected in the coming weeks.

LG India launches Nexus 4 for INR 25,990 (Update: Now available)
Update (May 21, 2013): Flipkart has now started shipping Nexus 4. So, if you want to buy Nexus 4, this is your chance.
Earlier (May 16, 2013): After the reports of Nexus 4 pre-orders on Flipkart, LG India has now officially announced the launch of Nexus 4 smartphone in the country today. Priced almost same as the pre-order listing, the phone will be available at INR 25,999 (16GB version) in the country.
It might not be at par with the Google Play pricing, but it is still a very decent price compared to similar featured smartphones from other companies.

Flickr releases revamped Android app in Google Play
Along with the web version redesign, Yahoo has also released the updated Flickr Android app in Google Play. The updated version works with both smartphones and tablets.
“With smartphones in our pockets at all times, we’re all photographers on a daily basis. That’s why we’re also excited to launch new version of the Flickr app for Android phones and tablets. Similar to the iPhone app we launched in December, the new Flickr for Android maintains your photos’ original quality, so every image you take, edit, share, or view on your phone or tablet looks spectacular,” Marissa Mayer, CEO of Yahoo!, wrote in a blog post.

Lava launches IRIS 458q with quad-core processor for INR 8,999
Indian mobile maker Lava has announced the launch of a new Android smartphone in its IRIS product line-up today. Dubbed as IRIS 458q, the smartphone has been priced at INR 8,999 and will be available in the coming days.
Lava IRIS 458q comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.2. The phone also features 512MB of RAM, 8MP rear camera and 2,000 mAh battery.

NVIDIA to target mid-range smartphone segment with Tegra 4i: Report
NVIDIA has indicated to The Motley Fool’s Evan Niu that it wants to focus on mid-range smartphones rather than fighting in the high-end segment. The company is preparing its Tegra 4i chip to cater the segment but it is still a long time away.
“The way that NVIDIA sees it, the high-end smartphone market is totally dominated by Apple and Samsung, both of which use in-house applications processors as much as possible. Apple only uses A-chips nowadays, and Samsung uses both its Exynos chips and Qualcomm’s Snapdragons. These are two OEMs that NVIDIA doesn’t think are worth pursuing,” The Motley Fool noted in a report.

Sony to begin selling Xperia Tablet Z globally
Japanese manufacturer Sony announced today that it has started the roll-out of Xperia Tablet Z globally. The tablet, which was originally showcased in Japan in January 2013, is a successor to the company’s previous released Xperia Tablet S. The company has not revealed the local pricing right now, but the tablet will be sold starting $499 in the United States.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z will be released in 4G/ 3G and Wi-Fi only versions and should be available widely in the intended markets over this week.

Google+ for Android 4.0 brings improved photo experience, locations tab
After a tease from Vic Gundotra yesterday, Google has now announced a major update for its official Google+ Android app today. The application update acts as the 42nd change to the 41 already announced changes to Google+ web version that were introduced at the recently concluded I/O 2013.
“Everyone knows that the answer to life, the universe, and everything is 42. So in addition to last week’s 41 new features, we’re launching another major update: a brand new Android app. Here’s a quick look at the improvements in photos, location, and the stream,” Bradley Horowitz, Vice President of Product, Google+ noted in a blog post.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Active images appear online
We have been hearing about Samsung’s upcoming rugged version of Galaxy S4 smartphone for a long time now. Dubbed as Galaxy S4 Active, the phone is rumoured to be arriving in July with official announcement sometime later this month.
The first images of the phone have hit the web. Apparently, the phone was recently showcased in Croatia at some unknown event and a GSMarena reader was able to snap a few pictures of the phone for us to enjoy.

Samsung launches Galaxy Grand Quattro for INR 17,290
Samsung India has officially announced the launch of Galaxy Grand Quattro in the India market today. The smartphone is now available across the country for a suggested price tag of INR 17,290.
Better known as Galaxy Win Duos, Grand Quattro features 4.7-inch WVGA display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.1. The phone also comes with 5MP rear camera with LED Flash and 0.3MP front camera.
