HTC has revealed at the recently held HTC One preview events in various Indian cities that it will be launching HTC One in the country next month. HTC One, which company’s 2013 flagship smartphone, is likely to be priced around INR 40,000.
We have already told you that Reliance Communications will be partnering with HTC for the launch of HTC One in India. The telco is likely to announce bundled data offers for the phone; however the phone will be sold unlocked in the country.
Originally announced last month, HTC One comes with Qualcomm’s 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 4.7-inch full HD 1080p display, 4MP Ultrapixel camera, 2.1MP front camera, and 2300 mAh battery. The smartphone also packs 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.0 interface.
Sense 5.0 brings several firsts to the HTC smartphone like the brand-new Blinkfeed widget, which rests on the home-screen of HTC One and aggregates content from various partners and social accounts of the user.
There is no word on the exact release date, but we expect to hear something from HTC India soon.
HTC One launched in Taiwan
In related news, HTC introduced HTC One in its home-country Taiwan yesterday. Company showcased a new 16GB variant of the phone in the country. The phone will go on sale by the end of March via four telecom operators.
