Lava has announced the launch of new Android smartphone in IRIS series. Dubbed as IRIS 454, it has been priced at INR 8,499.
Just a day ago, we reported about the availability of IRIS 502 smartphone at online retail store and now Lava has come out with another phone in just 24 hours gap. Lava IRIS 454 features dual-SIM support, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 4.5-inch qHD IPS display, and 1GHz dual-core processor.
The phone also comes with 512MB RAM, 8MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 2GB internal storage, microSD card slot, and 1650 mAh battery.
Karbonn, Lava and Micromax and other Indian manufacturers have employed the strategy to flooding the market with cheap re-branded Chinese smartphones. The product cycles are 1 or 2 months with no Android updates for old models or for that matter any software updates. I sincerely hope that they start focussing on quality than quantity because such tactics don’t pay in the long run.

512MB RAM is a killer for most Android phones. The lag will be very apparent after about 1 month of use.
