Pantel, Intex launch budget Ice Cream Sandwich tablets in India

It might not be raining in Delhi, but it is certainly raining tablets in the country. Pantel and Intex have launched an Ice Cream Sandwich each. While Pantel’s Penta T-Pad IS701C costs INR 4,999, Intex’s i-Buddy will sell for INR 6,490.

Coming to Pantel first, Penta T-Pad IS701C features 7-inch display, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage. The tablet also comes with USB 2.0 HOST port, micro USB port and a 0.3 MP front camera.

  • 4GB of internal storage
  • Wi-Fi connectivity, 3G dongle support

On the other hand, Intex i-Buddy tablet comes with a 1GHz processor, front camera and Wi-Fi connectivity. It also features Android 4.0 and 512MB of RAM.

Intex i-Buddy tab will only be available in select South-Indian states for a limited period, and then go on sale in other parts of the country. Company has also announced that it plans to launch new tablets in the coming months.

    Its okay the tablets are raining but the question is this that is it upgradable to future OS updates or the consumers will get the same dumb old OS for just the price sake ???

      as far as i know, these tablets will not be updateable to future android versions.
