German court upholds ban on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Specs and Release Date1 e1307590661466 German court upholds ban on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1A higher regional court in Germany gave Apple a symbolic victory by upholding the previously awarded temporary injunction on the sale of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the country. This court decision does not impact the tablet scene in Germany very much, as Samsung has already started selling a modified version of tablet Galaxy Tab 10.1N, but will surely give a moral victory to iPhone maker.

Last year, Apple won a temporary injunction barring the sale of Tab 10.1 in Germany by claiming that overall design of the tablet was too similar to iPad. Following which Samsung had appealed against the decision, on which Duesseldorf court decided yesterday.

Apple has also challenged the modified version of the tablet; a final ruling in that case is expected on Feb 9. Court has already rejected Apple’s claims in a preliminary ruling.

Where did the Germans lose their brains? How can two things be similar because they look similar? This is grossly unscientific?
