Can’t afford Galaxy S II, try Samsung Galaxy Z

Ready to reap the popularity of Galaxy S series, Samsung has added a new variant of Galaxy S II – named Galaxy Z in Sweden, and might reach other markets soon.

Galaxy Z is a downgraded Samsung Galaxy S II with same body but different internals. Samsung has switched the processor to 1GHz dual core, camera to 5MP, and display to 4.2 inch Super Clear LCD. Other specs have seen little changes like internal memory is only 8GB in Galaxy Z, while rest remain same – Android 2.3, GPS, FM, WiFi, SD card slot and Touchwiz UI.

Samsung Galaxy Z can now be purchased from Three in Sweden at a price of 3995 SEK [USD 630], to put price in perspective SGS II is priced 5990 SEK [USD 949] in the country. While nothing is official about the launch in other countries, we are looking for more info to share with you guys.
