Vivo Y51 with Snapdragon 665 SoC, Android 11 launched
Vivo has released yet another Y51 phone today that is quite different from the version launched in Pakistan in September 2020, or the version launched in November 2015 in China. This Vivo Y51 variant has made its debut in Indonesia and there is no word on whether it will ever get out of the market. We might see a rebranded version in some other country at some point.
Vivo Y51 is priced at IDR 3,599,000 (roughly Rs. 18,800) in Indonesia for the lone 128GB model. It is currently up for pre-orders and will start shipping in around a week. It is being sold in Titanium Sapphire and Crystal Symphony colours.
Vivo Y51 specifications
Vivo Y51 Indonesia version sports waterdrop-style notch and different kinds of back patterns on both colour variants. It carries a 6.58-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,408 pixels) screen and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. There is 8GB of RAM, 128GB of on-board storage, and a microSD card slot in the phone.
Other specifications of the new Vivo phone include 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, USB Type-C port, dual-SIM connectivity, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Further, there is a triple rear camera setup on the phone that houses a 48-megapixel main shooter with f/1.79 aperture, an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture. Up front, you will get a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The Vivo Y51 runs on Funtouch OS 11, based on Android 11.
The latest Vivo launch comes just a day after it introduced the V20 Pro phone in the Indian market. Vivo V20 Pro is priced at Rs. 29,990 and is now on sale via major online and offline stores in the country. It joins the company’s V20 lineup.
