After Vu and Toshiba, now Micromax has decided to launch Android-powered televisions in the Indian market. The company on Thursday introduced its new 4K televisions, which will come in 42-inch (model number: 42C0050UHD) and 49-inch (model number: 50K2330UHD) display sizes.
Micromax has partnered with Flipkart for the release of the TVs and the 42-inch 4K TV model can now be grabbed from the e-retailer for INR 39,990, while the 49-inch model is available for INR 49,990.
“It is our constant endeavor to bring alive the best experience and connectivity through our multiple screens. Today, we are revolutionizing the home entertainment experience with the launch of our first 4K-UHD television range. The new range targets the consumers who want a larger than life experience and desire to access smart android content on a bigger, sharper, crystal clear screen. We are committed to grow this category further and consolidate our position in the television segment in India,” said Rajesh Agarwal , Co- Founder, Micromax Informatics.
Talking about the 49-inch 4K TV first, it runs on Android 4.4 and comes with 3840x2160p display panel with 178-degree viewing angles and a metal frame. The television also includes three USB ports, two HDMI ports, Ethernet, VGA connector, AV input and Wi-Fi connectivity. It also packs 1GB of RAM, dual-core CPU, 2.5GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot.
42-inch 4K TV, on the other hand, runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, but rest of the features of the television are similar to the 49-inch model, except for an extra HDMI port.
Both 4K TVs also come pre-loaded with Google Play, so you will have access to thousands of applications.

178 degree viewing angle? That answers my question -> It should be IPS panel.
