Xiaomi Mi 4Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi on Wednesday announced the launch of its Mi 4 smartphone in the Indian market. Priced at INR 19,999, the smartphone will be available exclusively at Flipkart.com.

Like other Xiaomi phones, Mi 4 will also be offered via flash sales in the country and the first sale is scheduled for February 10. The interested consumers will be able to register for the sale beginning 6PM on Jan 28 i.e. today at Flipkart.

According to Xiaomi, it is initially introducing the 16GB White version of the smartphone in the country and the 64GB version will be released on a later date, but did not specify any pricing or availability information. There is no information on the launch of other colour options.

Originally introduced in July last year, the Xiaomi Mi 4 sports a 5-inch full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor. The phone features 3GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.4-based MIUI OS 6.0.

On the imaging front, Xiaomi has included a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front shooter. Other features of the phone include 3080 mAh battery, a metal frame, nano-coating for water-resistance, Infrared LED and 3G support. There is no microSD card slot or 4G LTE support in the smartphone.

Xiaomi has also revealed that it will offer the colourful rear-shells for the phone beginning Feb 10 as well. The first flash sale of the smartphone is likely to include 25,000 to 40,000 units of the phone and the company is planning to hold as many as two flash sales a week for the Mi 4 in the country.
