Samsung Galaxy A-seriesAfter months of leaks and rumours, Samsung on Friday finally made its new Galaxy A-series official. The company is introducing the new line-up with the announcements of Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 mid-range smartphones.

According to Samsung, the company is targeting the young consumers with the new products. The Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 will be released in select markets starting November. The company has not given any indication about the pricing.

Sporting slim metal unibody design, the Galaxy A3 and A5 run on Android 4.4 with Samsung’s TouchWiz enhancements like Ultra-power saving mode, Private mode, Adaptive display and more.

“The Galaxy A5 and A3 offer a beautifully crafted full metal unibody, slim design, superior hardware and the best possible social media experience. These devices make our advanced Galaxy experience even more accessible to young and trend conscious consumers,” said JK Shin, CEO and Head of IT & Mobile Communication at Samsung Electronics.

Coming to the specifics, Galaxy A5 features a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 13MP rear camera, 2GB of RAM, and 2300 mAh battery. Galaxy A3, on the other hand, comes with 4.5-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, 8MP rear camera, 1900 mAh battery and 1GB of RAM. Rest of the specifications of both smartphones include 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 16GB of on-board storage, microSD card slot, 5MP front shooter, and 3G/ 4G connectivity.     I want a best android smartphone with battery backup and cool specs under Rs.20K. But don’t recommend samsung. !!!

  3. Overall, the Galaxy A5 is an important step forward in terms of design. With the performance of most devices being very similar for daily tasks, Samsung has found it hard to differentiate and convince users that its premium priced devices are worth the money.
