First Xiaomi Redmi 1S sale to include 40,000 units in India
With less than a week to go for the availability of Xiaomi’s Redmi 1S smartphone in India, the company has revealed that it is putting 40,000 units of the phone on sale as the part of the September 2 flash sale.
While the number of units is double of what Xiaomi normally used to put as a part of Mi 3 flash sales, the phone is still expected to sell out in a matter of seconds, as over 100,000 people have already registered for the sale. The registrations are likely to go over 200,000 by the time Redmi 1S goes on sale. It is also important to note here that Flipkart is offering around 2000 Redmi 1S units as a part of a priority sale to Flipkart First subscribers on September 1, so the actual number of units available on September 2 are going to be just 38,000.
If you haven’t already registered for the Redmi 1S sale, do it now at Flipkart.com, which is the exclusive retailer for all things Xiaomi in India right now.
To remind you, Xiaomi has priced Redmi 1S at INR 5,999 in the country and the smartphone features a 4.7-inch HD display, quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera, 2000 mAh battery and Android 4.3 based MIUI v5.
In related news, Xiaomi has suspended the sales of Mi 3 smartphone in the country for the time-being. The smartphone is expected to return but no time-frame has been given until now.
