Xiaomi Mi 3 FlipkartUpdate (Aug 19):  Mi 3 goes back on sale today at Flipkart. Like last week, there are 20,000 units of the phone available for ordering and over 150,000 registrations. Like always process is simple, Go to Mi 3 page at 2 pm and click on BUY button. Your Mi 3 will be added to your cart. After adding it to cart, you will have until 11:59 PM on Aug 20 to complete your order.

Update (Aug 12): The sale day is here and as we had reported, 20,000 units of Mi 3 smartphone will be up for grabs. Keep your fingers ready and get the phone this time.

Earlier (Aug 7): Xiaomi has announced that it is increasing the number of units to be offered as a part of the next flash sale and will be putting 20,000 units for sale on August 12. The number is 5,000 units more than the August 5 sale and double of the units offered on July 29, however it is unlikely to satisfy many consumers as the demand is still many times of the supply.

According to e-retailer Flipkart, which exclusively retails Mi products in India, over 75,000 consumers have already signed-up of the next Mi flash sale. The number is expected to go up significantly as there are still around four days to register.

Xiaomi co-founder Bin Lin recently stated that his company is embarrassed by the faster sell-outs and they need to work harder to meet the demand of India customers. As they had not anticipated such demand from India, they are finding it hard to get the India-specific stock ready in the short-term. Xiaomi Global VP Hugo Barra echoed similar sentiments and stated that they hope to get as many units as possible in the country soon.

The company has also noted that they are learning from Mi 3 experience and expect the upcoming Redmi 1S and Redmi Note sales to go much smoother but they will continue to follow the flash sale method. Xiaomi, however, is yet to reveal the exact availability details for the two smartphones.

  1. They should stop this silly requirement of having to register for EVERY tranche of phone being made available. Jst have 1 registration & get down to fulfilling those order, thats it. Plain & simple saying tht they will continue with the ‘flash sales’ method means inspite of the polite words by Hugo Barra on ur site (diff page) the circus will continue

    1. So the registration is just get an idea of traffic+ limit the number for people to login and requesting same page at sale time.
All the register user do not purchase the MI3 .. The idea is simple First click buy and get the unit, .. i have got one during the first sale.
its all due to excellent pricing from MI .. if the same phone cost 20000, you will never login on same day or cry to get one 😛 Just saying 😀
      MIUI is best :D:D

  2. Pure hype..when will these companies grow up and start behaving like wiser sellers..LOL

    1. They r doing all the possible … its hard to import so many units from China in one shot …also all units need to modify as per india need .
Which company CEO come and say sorry if they are not able to meet the demand … did you hear sorry from Google when they have defective MOTO G units or from any other vendor.. … so don’t start critizing until you know the truth.

  3. Had registered for today’s sale. Even before I could hit buy now, the stock was over… Seems that they need to seriously improve on things….

Thinking of moving to other brand(s) now… This is not worth it !
