Moto G DiscountE-retailer Flipkart, which exclusively retails Motorola smartphones in India, has announced that it is offering INR 2,000 discount on Moto G smartphones in the country. Both 8GB and 16GB variants of the phone are now available at reduced price-tags.

You can head over to Flipkart to grab the Moto G 8GB version for INR 10,499 or Moto G 16GB version for INR 11,999.

While Flipkart had seen impressive sales for Moto G in the country until recently, the sales have suffered due to the launch of smartphones like Asus Zenfone 5 in the recent weeks. To better compete with Zenfone 5 and other similarly priced smartphones, Motorola India and Flipkart seems to have decided to reduce the price of Moto G.

Flipkart has noted that limited stocks are available for this reduced price-tag, so if you plan to grab the Moto G, do so at the earliest. There is no word on how long these stocks will last.

      1. i have a feeling unlike G & X, E is a 6month mobile. 6 month later, it’ll get a new version and it should. with more and more manufacturers launching quadcore powered mobiles for a small premium, E is looking like a weak choice. Moto E1 (same spec & price) with S400 instead of ageing S200 will again give it the much needed boost.

  1. Moto G with just 5 MP camera and lower end specs is no match for Xiaomi Mi 3 which is a much better package at 14000 INR…Moto G needs to slash its price lower than 10K for the 16GB variant.

    1. What is the use of 14K price for Mi 3 when it is not readily available. Its just a way of creating hype. In my opinion 12K is still very good price for Moto G.

      1. Sure JAS from one point of view you are correct…its just the initial hype…overall the product Mi3 is superb…same thing happened with Moto E on flipkart…was sold out n number of times..but it still rock in that category even today..

      2. Well I told earlier that its just a way of creating hype… Xiaomi has now stopped the sale of MI 3 and instead will concentrate on Redmi 1S.. and I am sure that the price it ha,s it will get even more response from the market than MI 3 and they will never be able to fulfill its demand…

      3. I agree with you..the company is just playing a game..they dont realise that in the long run it will not work out as there is big competition coming next month in Sept.

  2. Flipkart seems to be down from morning.. cant order anything! Not that I am looking to order the Moto G.
