As expected, the sales of Asus Zenfone smartphones have got off to a flying start in the Indian market. Asus on Wednesday announced that it has sold 40,000 units of Zenfone 4, 5 and 6 smartphones in the first four days of sales.

“We are overwhelmed with the response received within just 4 days of the launch. The reaction from the Indian masses has been astonishing owing to our partnership with Flipkart and our offline channels. It is surprising to see that the product has reached to 300 cities immediately post launch. We believe that we have come much closer to delivering as per our users’ needs and wants. Aesthetically crafted ZenFones have been successful to touch the heart of Indian tech lovers and we are affirmative that we are going to witness greater response in the near future,” said Peter Chang, Regional Head – South Asia & Country Manager – System Business Group – ASUS India.

To remind you, the Zenfone line-up was officially unveiled on July 9 in the country and became available on July 12. At the time of writing this report, Asus Zenfone 5 is out of stock at Flipkart, which is exclusively retailing the Zenfone smartphones online, while Zenfone 4 and 6 are still available.

The initial success of Zenfone line-up can be attributed to the aggressive pricing, which has been one of the biggest factors. Also, the Zenfone smartphones offer great specifications and have been getting rave reviews.
