Samsung Galaxy Note II getting KitKat update in India

Samsung Galaxy Note II KitKat updateSamsung has started rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the Galaxy Note II smartphone in the Indian market. The update release was originally begun with France last week.

Available both over-the-air (OTA) and via Samsung Kies application, the update is 416MB in size and brings Android 4.4.2 to the smartphone. Although the official change-log is not available, the Note II users can expect to see the usual KitKat-specific changes like translucent status bar, immersive mode, cloud-print support, lock-screen tweaks, and performance enhancements on the their smartphone after the update. Samsung has also reportedly included Samsung Wallet, Knox security and more in the update.

You will automatically get a notification once the update is available for your phone or you can manually look for the update by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update. It is important to note here that software updates are rolled-out in phases, so not everyone will get it right-away and it might take a couple of days to reach your phone.

To remind you, Samsung has already released Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Note 3 and Galaxy S4 smartphones in the country and Galaxy S3 update should be arriving in the coming weeks.
