Dell rolling out Android 4.4.2 update for Venue 7 and 8 tablets

Dell Venue 8Dell has started rolling-out Android 4.4 KitKat update for its Venue 7 and Venue 8 tablets. The update is now available in select markets over-the-air and will reach your Dell tablet shortly.

Over 300MB in size, the update brings the usual KitKat goodies like immersive mode, performance enhancements, UI improvements, faster multitasking, cloud-print support, improved downloads app, and more.

You will automatically get a notification on your tablet once the update is available, you can also go to Settings > About Tablet > Software update to manually look for the update. If you have already updated your Venue 7 and Venue 8 tablet, do let us know about the experience in comments.

To remind you, Dell Venue Android tablets were originally introduced in October last year with Android 4.2.2, and got the Android 4.3 update in January this year. The tablets come with Intel Atom Z2580 Clover Trail dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 1280x800p display, 4100 mAh battery, Wi-Fi, and 3G support (depending on model).
