Acer has started its Computex 2014 onslaught with the announcement of multiple new Android devices today. Part of the newly unveiled devices are two smartphones from its Liquid series – Liquid E600 and E700.
Talking about Acer Liquid E600 first, the smartphone features a 5-inch IPS FWVGA display, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 4G LTE support, and 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor. The phone also packs 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, and 2500 mAh battery.
In addition, the Liquid E600 comes with Android 4.4.2, microSD card slot, and the usual connectivity options. The phone will be released in Q3 in both single-SIM as well as dual-SIM variants.

Compatible with the latest LTE Cat. 4 standard at 150 Mbps speed, the Liquid E600 is amongst the few to offer true 4G for everyone. With AcerFLOAT technology and ultra-fast internet, users are able to multi-task by checking out their favorite social media site and streaming music whilst checking their messages or answer incoming calls from friends and family,” Acer noted in a press release.
For those of you unaware of AcerFLOAT, it allows multiple app windows to remain open simultaneously on top of each other. This helps with multitasking and lets users to quickly switch between two open apps.
Coming to Acer Liquid E700, the smartphone packs a 5-inch IPS 720p HD display, 3500 mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and front speaker with DTS Studio Sound support. It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-code MediaTek processor, Android 4.4, and the usual connectivity options. The phone will also be released in Q3 and at least one variant of the phone will have triple-SIM card support.

The Acer Liquid E700 delivers 60 days of standby, 12 hours of video playback, 100 of music, or 24 hours of talk time allowing users to stay connected to friends, family and the latest entertainment for long periods of time,” the company stated in a press release.
There is no word on the pricing right now, which will be revealed at the local launch events.
