Moto EAs Motorola gets ready to unveil its next mass market smartphone after Moto G on May 13 in New Delhi and London, some new details about this upcoming budget smartphone have appeared online.

Thanks to a listing on Indian import data website Zauba, we can now confirm that Motorola’s “priced for all” smartphone will indeed be dubbed as Moto E, as was rumoured earlier, and will come with XT1021 (single SIM), XT1022 (dual SIM) and XT1025 (dual SIM with digital TV) model numbers.

The Zauba listing also reveals that Motorola has already started importing the retail units of the phone in Indian market, so it looks certain that Moto E will be available immediately after the announcement (at least in India). While there is no way to confirm it, we also believe that UK, Brazil, and Mexico too will get the phone within days of unveiling if not the same day as India.

Given Motorola’s past partnerships with Indian e-retailer Flipkart for Moto G and Moto X launch in the country and the mention of Bangalore (Bengaluru) as the import city in the Zauba data, it looks more than likely that Moto E will also be released by Flipkart in India.

On the pricing front, the import value listed on the Zauba.com suggests that the Motorola smartphone will retail around INR 7,999-INR 8,499 ($130-140 approx.) in the country and should get similar pricing in other markets.

To remind you, as per a previous leak, Moto E is rumoured to come with a dual-core processor, 4.3-inch display, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 5MP rear camera and Android 4.4. The phone is also expected to come with 1900 mAh battery, 3G support, and dual-SIM connectivity (in select models).

  1. Thanks for tipping us about Zauba. Just checked Moto X’s import price – 18,745 (Retail 23,999), Moto G’s import price – 10,439 (Retail 13,999). So yeah, Moto E – should be around 8499! 6.2mm ^_^. And an excellent original article Gaurav!

  2. Is there any way to include article post time, source etc in this template?
