LG G2 mini global roll-out begins in April

LG G2 miniLG has announced that it will begin the global sales roll-out of G2 mini smartphone next month with CIS countries (Commonwealth of Independent States). Originally introduced in February, G2 mini is the first mini smartphone from the company and comes with mid-range specifications

LG has not revealed the pricing of the phone right now, which will be shared by the regional arms of the manufacturer.

LG G2 mini features a 4.7-inch qHD display, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera, and Android 4.4. The phone’s LTE version is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8926 processor, while 3G variant comes with 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM9226 processor and Latin American LTE version packs 1.7GHz NVIDIA Tegra 4i quad-core processor. LG has also stated that it will be selling dual-SIM as well as single SIM variants of the phone.

“The compact G2 mini offers a combination of design, hardware and UX features previously unavailable in its class, making it a very attractive option for mid-tier markets. With the G2 mini, our objective is to allow a much larger consumer base to be able to experience the key benefits of the G2 UX in a smaller form factor. And to that end, we’re confident we’ve succeeded with the G2 mini,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

According to LG, the launch in CIS markets will be followed by release in Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
