Asus, which has mostly been silent this MWC, on Monday announced two new Fonepad models. The new Fonepad 7 LTE (ME372CL) and Fonepad 7 (ME175CG) are powered by Intel Atom processors and come with 7-inch HD display.
“We are excited to unveil our latest Fonepad models in Europe during MWC 2014. ASUS is always in search of incredible in everything we do, and will continue to provide consumers with amazing experiences through our mobile innovations.”
Coming to the specifications, Fonepad 7 LTE features voice-calling support, dual front speakers, LTE support and 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor. The tablet also packs 1GB of RAM, 5MP rear camera, and 1.2MP front camera. Asus seems to have just added the LTE support in the existing Fonepad 7 tablet.
On other hand, Fonepad 7 (ME175CG) comes with 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 processor, 3G, voice-calling support, and dual-SIM support. Other specifications are expected to be similar to the LTE model but it is unconfirmed right now.
There is no word on the pricing or availability right now.
