XOLO has introduced a new Q-Core series smartphone today in the form of XOLO Q500. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor and has got a price-tag of INR 7,999.
XOLO Q500 also features 4-inch WVGA display, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, Android 4.1, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. In addition, the phone comes with microSD card slot, 1450 mAh battery, dual-SIM support and the usual set of connectivity options including 3G.
Looking at the specifications, apart from the presence of Android 4.1, the phone looks quite decent and presence of Snapdragon 200 in the world of MediaTek processor-powered budget phones is a positive.
According to XOLO, Q500 comes with X-TransPic mobile application, a language translation tool that helps users translate Hindi words by just pointing the app camera at any sign board, advertisement or poster. This functionality works even when the phone is not connected to the internet. The X-TransPic mobile application will be available on all XOLO’s upcoming Snapdragon devices.
