Xiaomi has revealed that it will be releasing its budget Android smartphone Hongmi aka Red Rice in Taiwan on December 9. The phone has been available in China since August this year.
To remind you, Xiaomi Hongmi features a 4.7-inch 720p display with Gorilla Glass 2, quad-core Mediatek processor, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera, MIUI v5, and 4GB of internal storage.
The company has already started taking reservations for the phone. You can read more about them at the company’s Facebook page.
Xiaomi has priced Hongmi at NT$3,999 ($135), which is quite decent price-tag and the phone will turn out to be a great competitor to Moto G, if it reaches Taiwan at any point.
