Gionee officially launches GPad G3 in India for INR 9,999

Gionee GPad G3Over a month after Gionee GPad G3 went on sale in the Indian market, the company has decided to announce its arrival in the country. Gionee today issued a press release stating that GPad G3 Android phone is now available for INR 9,999.

The smartphone can be purchased online or in stores across the country in Black or White colour options.

Gionee GPad G3 features a 5.5-inch FWVGA display, 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, Android 4.2.1, dual-SIM support and 5MP rear camera. The phone also comes with front camera, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 2250 mAh battery and FM Radio.

The phone will be competing with the likes of Micromax Canvas Doodle A111, Karbonn Titanium S2, and Spice Coolpad Mi-515 smartphones in the market.

  1. I don’t get it. What’s the point of a quad core processor with only 512 Mb of RAM? I’ll much rather buy a 1.2 Ghz Cortex A7 dual code phone with 1GB RAM for the price.

    And a 854×480 screen for 5.5″? Seriously? What about a 5″ 960×540 one? I’ll take that any day ahead of this one. Not that I have the money to buy a 10K phone right now, but this doesn’t even sound tempting. Major fail!
