As promised, Cyanogen Inc has released an easy-to-use CyanogenMod installer for Android devices in Google Play today. Available for free, this installer allows users to flash CM on their Android devices without any complex procedures.
The CyanogenMod Installer currently supports a total of 12 devices and their variants, which are in total 40 Android phones and tablets. Cyanogen Inc has promised to add support for more devices in the future.
“We will continue to work on supporting additional devices beyond the initial set, but we are proud to say that we are supporting the majority of flagship models currently on the market,” Cyanogen Inc wrote in a blog post.
Here are some salient features of CM Installer
- The Cyanogen Installer Google Play version works in conjunction with a PC client.
- No need to worry about root access or unlocked bootloader, Installer will do whatever is needed.
- For best results, use a stock ROM but even if you are on a custom ROM, the installer would most probably work just fine.
- Supported devices: Google Nexus S ( & Nexus S 4G), Google Galaxy Nexus (GSM, Verizon and Sprint), Google Nexus 7 (Wi-Fi.
