The new Nexus 7 tablet is finally available in the Indian market. Listed on the Google Play along with the Nexus 5 smartphone, it has been priced at INR 20,999 for the 16GB Wi-Fi version and INR 23,999 for the 32GB Wi-Fi version. The 32GB 3G/ LTE version is being sold for INR 27,999. All three variants of the tablet can be bought from Google Play today.
Originally introduced back in July, the new Nexus 7 tablet has been made by Asus. It features a 7.02-inch 1920x1200p IPS display with Gorilla Glass, Android 4.3 (Android 4.4 update already available), 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, and 2GB of RAM. The tablet also comes with 5MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, NFC, and 3950 mAh battery.
The pricing seems to be decent given the depreciation in the value of rupee over the last few months.
In related news, Google will also be selling the Nexus 7 sleeve via Google Play in the coming weeks for INR 1,999. It is currently listed as “coming soon.”
Bunkum, Its over priced as most new imports are. After its all about milking the indian/android market
Price is very high even after including the 20% taxes.
$229 + $46 (%20 taxes) = $276 (Rs 17,178) but they are selling it for Rs 21K.
But nexus 5 pricing is good.
Nope nexus 5 us being sold for 349 used in USA ie 22k and being sold in India for 7k more while nexus 7 is of 230 usd ie 15k and being sold for 21k a diff of 6k
So the pricing of nexus 5 is not much better than that of nexus 7 which is also poorly priced if it was below 20 I would have bought it immediately
In the US, it has shipping and taxes extra so the price comes to around $390 which comes to around 24.5K, in India it sells at 29K for same mobile
including taxes and shipping. So it is a great deal for the hardware you
are getting.
i ordered nexus 5 😀
will this lte tab works with airtel 4G????
No, as per Airtel.this is TD-LTE and Nexus 7 supports FD-LTE.
